Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 01 – Delhi – Agra

Guests will check in at Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi at 7:00 AM and board the luxurious Maharajas’ Express. Breakfast will be served onboard at 8:15 AM as the train departs for Agra. Around 12:00 PM, there will be a tour briefing while guests enjoy their time onboard, followed by lunch at 1:00 PM. The train will arrive in Agra at 2:00 PM, after which guests will proceed to visit the magnificent Taj Mahal at 2:30 PM. By 6:30 PM, guests will return to the comforts of the Maharajas’ Express, where they can relax or opt for additional activities. Dinner will be served onboard at 7:30 PM, with an overnight stay in Agra to conclude the day.

Day 02 : Agra – Ranthambore

At 6:30 AM, guests will depart to visit the historic Agra Fort. After exploring, they will return to the Maharajas’ Express at 8:30 AM. Breakfast will be served onboard at 8:45 AM as the train begins its journey to Ranthambore. Lunch will be served at 1:00 PM, and upon arrival at Ranthambore, guests will proceed for an exciting game drive at Ranthambore National Park at 2:30 PM. By 5:30 PM, they will return to the comforts of the train. At 6:00 PM, the Maharajas’ Express will continue its journey to Jaipur, with dinner served onboard at 7:30 PM.

Day 03 : Jaipur

The Maharajas’ Express will arrive in Jaipur at 4:00 AM. Breakfast will be served onboard at 7:00 AM, followed by a visit to the majestic Amber Fort at 8:30 AM. Guests will return to the train by 1:00 PM and enjoy lunch onboard at 1:30 PM. Afterward, they can relax or choose from optional activities. In the evening, at 5:45 PM, guests will proceed for a royal dinner at the elegant Rambagh Palace. By 9:00 PM, they will return to the comfort of the Maharajas’ Express, which will depart for Bikaner at 11:00 PM.

Day 04 : Bikaner

The Maharajas’ Express will arrive in Bikaner at 6:45 AM. Guests will enjoy breakfast onboard at 8:00 AM and can then relax or participate in optional activities starting at 9:30 AM. Lunch will be served onboard at 1:00 PM. In the afternoon, at 2:30 PM, guests will proceed to visit the historic Junagarh Fort, followed by a scenic trip to the Sand Dunes. At 5:30 PM, they will arrive at the Sand Dunes for an enchanting evening of cocktails, barbecue, and folk dances. By 8:15 PM, guests will return to the Maharajas’ Express. The train will depart for Jodhpur at 9:30 PM.

Day 05 : Jodhpur

The Maharajas’ Express will arrive in Jodhpur at 5:00 AM. Breakfast will be served onboard at 8:00 AM, and guests can either relax on the train or opt for optional activities starting at 9:00 AM. Lunch will be served onboard at 1:00 PM. At 2:30 PM, guests will visit the grand Mehrangarh Fort, followed by a Tuk Tuk ride and a walking tour of the bustling Old Clock Tower market. The evening will continue with an exclusive cocktail dinner at the heritage hotel Khaas Bagh at 5:30 PM. By 8:30 PM, guests will return to the Maharajas’ Express, which will then depart for Udaipur at 9:30 PM.

Day 06 : Udaipur

Guests will start the day with breakfast onboard at 8:00 AM. The train will arrive in Udaipur at 9:45 AM, where they will proceed for a scenic boat ride on Lake Pichola, followed by visits to the magnificent City Palace and Crystal Gallery. Lunch will be served at 1:30 PM in the Satkar Hall of Hotel Fateh Prakash Palace, a beautiful heritage hotel. After lunch, guests will return to the comforts of the Maharajas’ Express at 3:00 PM, where they can relax or opt for optional activities. At 7:00 PM, guests will enjoy a special Indian-themed evening onboard, followed by dinner. By 8:00 PM, the train will depart for Mumbai.

Day 07 : Mumbai

Guests will start the day by enjoying the picturesque countryside views while having breakfast onboard at 8:00 AM. Lunch will be served at 1:30 PM. The Maharajas’ Express will arrive at Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) at 4:35 PM, where guests will disembark and bid farewell, marking the end of their luxurious journey aboard the Maharajas’ Express.

Please carefully note the opening and closing days of each of the sightseeing points given in the itinerary.
Most of the 7 sightseeing points in Darjeeling are closed on Thursdays, Forests are also closed on Thursdays, In Gangtok, Institute of Tibetology Institute of Handicrafts and handlooms are closed on Sundays.
Nathula Pass is closed on Mondays and Tuesday and is subject to the availability of permits from the army.
